Ladies and Gentlemen, The hot news is that THE CRUISE IS ON. We have managed to pull together a team to ensure that the planned cruise takes place during the period of 8-22 June 2013. My thanks to both Nigel Bunker and Chris Martin who have agreed to pick up the reins for this. Clearly time is now of the essence and I feel it important that we hold another meeting at the Clubhouse. The date and time is Friday 10th May at 20:00hrs. Both Chris and Nigel will be there with myself to outline the planned itinerary. One piece of bad news is that Charlestown , after initial enthusiasm, have blown us out. Unsurprisingly, we are not the first to experience this: Saltash had the same. Thus, we have delayed the start of the cruise by one day, aiming to be in Fowey on the Saturday. By the time of the meeting, I will have confirmed berths in Fowey with the Harbour Commissioners. The good news is that Chris’s boat (unlike Nigel’s) can dry out, so it is hoped the itinerary will not need to be changed. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at Friday’s meeting.
