In February 2008, TMSC members Tony & Sue Symes and Rob & Averill Burton joined Ian & Denise on board their yacht Caprice, whilst she was wintering in the Canary Islands.  They were on holiday in Tenerife and were able to join Caprice for a day out whale-watching in the channel that lies between Tenerife and La Gomera.  It was a beautiful, warm sunny day and we saw between 10-12 pilot whales within metres of the boat, plus the usual dolphin groups.  After a splendid buffet lunch, we sailed back into the harbour at Las Galletas, on the south coast.  It was lovely for us to spend the day with good friends - a reminder of home and TMSC!
