7 February 2012: Sail cut and performance Jamie Watts (and/or Lumpy) of Ullman Sails discusses the importance of getting the correct sail cut for better performance. 14 February 2012: Club cruise to Benodet and the Glenan Isles Summer 2012 Alan Bradfield, the club's Cruising Secretary, will outline plans for the club's summer cruise to South Brittany. All welcome either with a view to participating, on your own boat or as crew, or just to learn more about the event.
21 February 2012: Marine Specialist Roadshow including information/exhibits on masts & rigging, marine engines & electrics, gas installation & safety, general boat maintenance. Brought to you by Blagdons Boatyard. NB this is not a talk.
* new* - 28 February 2012: Maritime smuggling, illegal immigration & security Illustrated talk by the UK Border Agency and the police on maritime smuggling, illegal immigration and security. The team will also talk about the Project Kraken initiative to encourage yachtsmen and other water users to report suspicious activity.
6 March 2012: the Tamar Coastguard Nigel Bunker - an informative presentation concerning the Tamar Coastguard and their future role.
27 March 2012: Boat Jumble Your junk is someone else’s treasure! Bring your unwanted marine bits & bobs and turn them into cash. A donation to the Safety Boat Fund is all we ask in return
