This has obviously been a difficult year to say the least at least we have managed to get some racing from it thanks to the work of your sailing secretaries and the wider committee and your flexibility and cooperation. As we move into autumn we should be looking forward to our prize giving which are normally highlights of our social life and an opportunity to celebrate your success ( not mine as per usual...). Sadly, and with much thought by Dee and Steve we have agreed that it would not be responsible, appropriate or practical to hold the prize giving in their customary form in the current restrictions.
We will continue to explore opportunities to award the prizes in an enjoyable and social manner when opportunities permit although this may not be for a while. Dee and Steve will keep thinking!
In the meantime, congratulations to all winners and thanks to all participants for their support. We will be announcing names in due course so do watch the website. We are also planning to get the trophies engraved as usual so that your achievements are recorded as part of the long TMSC history. I hope there will one day be an opportunity for winners to lift the silverware and maybe, just maybe, fill one or two up!
Thanks you all for your support and goodwill at this time,
Best wishes and keep safe.
I am sorry to pile on the agony but for the same reasons as prizegiving, the Christmas Draw, Children's party and Halloween cannot take place. Obviously we will do something sociable when we can! Committee suggests that any paid up draw entries are rolled over to next year but if you would rather reclaim your stake please speak to our bar staff, thank you.
Santa is now on furlough....
