  • Tier 2 Reaches Cornwall

    I am sorry that I am unable to bring you tidings of great joy this evening. Bar and Finance Committee met earlier today and explored the options for a safe and viable opening of the club under Tier 2 restrictions. Our conclusion was that this is not achievable in the current circumstances and therefore I regret to have to confirm that the club, including Kilby's will close after the lunchtime opening tomorrow, Christmas Day.

  • Hon Treasurer

    The club treasurer is retiring so that a vacancy has arisen for this key position in the club. The work has been re-organised so that this will be a supervisory role for the future. A job outline is attached at the "Club" tab and interested members should contact Bob Holder or Bob Wilkey for further information.

  • Volunteering Role - Vacancy for Club Secretary

    With the AGM approaching the club is in need of a Secretary for the coming year. This is a great chance to play a key part in helping to run the club.     Rigging New Dinghies

    A sunny Thursday evening last week saw the training team at work setting up the rigging for the new Hartley 15 training dinghies. All went well and the dinghies will soon be ready to launch. The training team are working up a risk assessment and will be announcing plans for the Launch party in due course - watch this space. Thanks to Phillippa, Ronnie, Vicky, Olga, Bill and Bob.

    New Training Dinghies

    The new Hartley 15 club dinghies were delivered at the end of June. These were bought with the grant from Sport England and top-up from club funds, and were purchased under the banner of Adult Social Sailing following the ladies sailing initiative. Bob Holder and Steve Roberts were at the club to take delivery. It is not yet possible to put them to use while we are still subject to restrictions. However, we

  • Launch of the Adult Sailing Project 2020

    The Sailing Sub-Committee is pleased to announce a new project for the 2020 season. Aimed to cater for any new adult sailors wishing to have a go, those adults who would maybe like to return to sailing after a few years away, and those who might have a little experience and would like to increase their confidence levels. The emphasis will be on social sailing and having fun regardless of age or ability.
