Winter Talk -Building the Jenny Wren

Winter Talk Tuesday 17th March, 7.30pm

Torpoint Mosquito Sailing Club is delighted to welcome Jon Tully, watchkeeper at NCI Rame Head, for his winter talk.

Jon will be sharing the story of his year-long journey building Jenny Wren, a beautiful wooden sailing dinghy. The project took shape with plenty of time, patience, and support at the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis, and led Jon into the world of traditional craftsmanship and long-forgotten skills.

From the practical elements of boat building to the satisfaction (and challenges!) of working with wood by hand, this promises to be an engaging and inspiring evening for sailors and non-sailors alike.
