Winter Talk - Research and Restoration of Seagrass around Torpoint
We warmly welcome members and visitors to join us for a talk on - Research and Restoration of Seagrass in Torpoint
We will be joined by guest speakers Chloe James, who is a Marine Habitat Restoration Officer for Cornwall Wildlife trust, and Oliver Thomas who is a Senior Science Officer for Project Seagrass.
They will be discussing their research into the importance of seagrass to our local waters and the wider ecosystem, the techniques used to replant the seagrass meadows and reviewing the progress which has been made.
Through collaboration with organisations including Cornwall Wildlife Trust, the Environment Agency and Seasalt Cornwall, meaningful progress has been achieved in restoring seagrass meadows, supporting education projects, and creating lasting positive environmental impact.
Starting at 7pm, the bar will be open from 6pm.
