Training at Torpoint Mosquito Sailing Club.

As a recognized RYA Training Centre, we are able to offer a variety of waterborne and classroom courses to club members at preferential rates that are considerably cheaper than those of a commercial organization.

Currently offered, all leading to RYA certification for successful candidates:

RYA Level 1 and Level 2 Dinghy Courses. These are 2 day courses over a weekend, using the club dinghies.

RYA Level 2 Powerboat Course. The standard course needed to hire a RIB in most countries, conducted in the club RIBs.

RYA Safety Boat Course. Currently, no charge has been made for this course, on the understanding that a return of service will be undertaken in manning the club RIBS for sailing nights or events. Again, this is a two day course, dealing with rescue of dinghies, kayaks and windsurfers.

RYA Shore-based Theory Courses for Day Skipper and Yachmaster. Run over three consecutive weekends in winter, these cover the syllabus for the two respective courses.
