I, and the Management Committee are delighted to confirm that in line with our phased reopening plan, the Bar will open at 1200 noon on Monday 17th May, and thereafter for our normal opening hours each day. We will be operating under the same agreed covid arrangements as before Christmas which means social distancing rule apply and seating is restricted to tables of 6. Tables have been set out in the bar and Tamar lounge so as to assist in separation, please don't move them. Masks should be worn on entry and exit please. Movement within the building should be kept to a minimum (e.g W/C's) and masks should be worn for this. Table service only will be in operation and members are requested to cooperate with our bar staff and to be patient please as they get used to returning to the front line! It will be helpful if you are able to show your membership card if requested but not essential until we have issued all the new cards for this year, and of course don't forget to sign in, preferably using the NHS app if you can. The current regulations require all members of a group to sign in individually, not just one person.
Now, if you can navigate that lot - enjoy your drinks!!
At present we are unable to offer the restaurant service but we are actively working on it. The kitchen building needs some urgent remedial work to the structure and services and quotes are being obtained as a matter of urgency. Additionally we are looking for someone who would like to take over running the restaurant side as a franchised business in the same way as Dave - so if you know of anyone......
The Management Committee appreciate the importance of the restaurant as a much loved feature of the club and will work to get service restored as soon as possible.
