Hooray! - TMSC Cadets are coming back!

Last week , Ronnie, Vicky, Alex and myself checked out the Terras. With a good clean they are all useable. a few bits and pieces need replacing but we're good to go.

So, we're ok to start back on Wednesday 21st April 2021 at 17:30. NB the clubhouse is not open yet.

At the present time we are only having 1 session a week starting at 17:30 every Wednesday. We will review this as the restrictions permit but for now I am just glad we're able to offer a session. Currently we are only offering spaces to existing cadets but we hope to welcome new cadets soon. So if you have an 8 year old or older child who is interested please get in contact with me and I will take your details.

We also have Emily and Sam ( welcome!! ) who will also be joining the sessions to teach / coach when they can. If you race you might already have met them.

To be a cadet a parent needs to have membership of the club - membership forms are available on the main website if needed. This is for insurance purposes. Each session is £5 per cadet, payable on the night.

Covid rules require:

(i) Cadets to arrive ready to sail - ie in wetsuits as we do not have changing facilities open right now - we can make a toilet available if required.

(ii) Bouyancy aids, helmets and spray jackets can be borrowed as normal.

(iii) We will have plenty of hand gel available

(iv) Only same households can sail together

(v) Parent need to stay and help their cadets rig and launch onto the water and retrieve them off the water and de-rig after the session.

(vi) Dinghies need to be hosed down after use
