News update

Published 10:54 on 8 Mar 2021

As we prepare to emerge from lockdown the Management Committee is in frequent discussion on how we can get up and running as soon as possible. We are now planning to do the yacht lift in on the 12th April which will give us room for the additional dinghies to arrive and also for outdoor seating when we decide to open the bar. This will depend on a favourable weather forecast between then and Mid May when we can go inside. We will be meeting again this week to press on with planning, so more new s later.

In the meantime I have to tell you, with much regret, that Dave Kilby will be retiring with immediate effect on health grounds. Dave has been an absolute asset to TMSC for many years and I know we have all valued his support and friendship. We all wish him well and are all thinking of him. I do hope we will have the opportunity to mark his retirement once the restrictions are over.

We have set up a small working group to come up with some proposals for the restaurant facility going forward and they will be seeking members thoughts in this. again, we will keep you updated. It will be a tough act to follow Dave.

Trust all of you are keeping well and looking forward to the season.

Bob
