All change at TMSC!

This week sees the changing of the guard at Marine Drive. Today, Sunday, is Frans last day in the Tamar Lounge Restaurant as she leaves us to take up a new role. We thank Fran for all her delicious food and for the friendly and great service and wish her well in the future.
Also, on Friday 5th, Bobbi is sadly leaving us for a stewards role in a much bigger club over in England; Gloucestershire to be precise, which is nearer to her family roots. Bobbi has done a magnificent job for TMSC over the last 2 years or so and has given so much effort to the club who will ever forget The Joker?!! We all wish Bobbi every success and happiness in her new role and she leaves many friends behind in Torpoint.
Meanwhile, the committee have been busy and we can now tell you the following good news:
Jen Gallagher will take over the catering at The Tamar Lounge, opening on 28th June. Book early! Jen is an experienced local caterer with some great ideas and preliminary menus look just the ticket for a sailing club. In the gap between now and then we will be arranging for pasty service for hungry sailors and plans are in hand for open day catering.
We can also announce that Steve Pugh will be joining us as Steward on 9th June. Steve is an experienced bar manager and caterer and is also a local some of you may know Steve from his time managing the Cons club bar. In the meantime we have a club member John Dent- who will be standing in as our interim licence holder between Bobbi and Steve so that we can continue to serve thirsty members!
Please be patient if we have the odd lack of smooth running during the handover, there will be lots to think about and take onboard!
We welcome Jen and Steve to TMSC and wish them every success in their new jobs. Please make them at home in the club and give them your support its what makes us a great club to be members of!
